As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a talent scout. Okay, so that’s not exactly how the line goes in Goodfellas, but you get the point. I always felt that I had a knack for recognizing talent before it became apparent to everyone else. Sometimes, it’s hard; New England Patriots’ Tom Brady had to wait until the 6th round before he was even drafted. Sometimes, it’s a no-brainer; Jodie Foster showed she could act at the tender age of 14 before going on to win 47 acting awards.
Finding Subi Ghosh falls into the second category. I wish I could say that we “discovered” her but she’s been blazing her own trail well before we approached her about joining our executive team. As a speaker at Digital Dealer, Driving Sales, and upcoming events, she has proven that one doesn’t have to be in the car business for 30 years in order to have a powerful voice. At various positions in dealerships over the last six years, she has demonstrated the ability to increase sales for car dealerships.
Now, she’s bringing those talents to Dealer Authority.
The standard press release will say something to the effect of “We’re extremely excited to have Subi joining our team.” That sort of statement simply doesn’t do this news the justice it deserves. We’re not just extremely excited. We’re like the little kids in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory who just got our hands on the golden ticket. It’s a blessing and an honor to have such an innovative mind bringing her talents to our clients.
If you see her in person or on social media, be sure to congratulate her. This is the start of something grand and our clients are about to feel the full force of this event. She deserves it. Our clients deserve it. We’re just going along for the ride.
